Launched in 2013, Tripigy is a worldwide travel site, providing travellers with the ability to find, plan, research and socialise their trips. Tripigy provides both online (web) and mobile tools to gain access to relevant information for the traveller including places, services, facilities and activities.
The Tripigy dataset is maintained by two distinct data-sources. These being from User based submissions through the Mobile and Web tools, as well as the Team Tripigy members visiting sites and keeping information up to date. We also work closely with the industry to ensure information is maintained and kept as accurate as possible.
Tripigy is based on the Gold Coast Australia and was founded in 2013 by Justin and Cindy. Both of us having a passion for travel and technology. Aside from the founders being on the road travelling, we also have a team of professionals both on the road (Team Tripigy) and technology specialists developing new tools and features for the Tripigy Platforms. Our team also consists of Team members located in Europe, Germany, USA and New Zealand that provide local feedback and localised data. Where available, we work closely with relevant partners to assist in providing these services to our users.
Tripigy provides tools to research only legal and confirmed locations. In particular, this is an issue in many countries and the founders were particularly focused on ensuring that Tripigy remains focused on working with local businesses and relevant partners to ensure that only legal sites and services are listed. At Tripigy, we feel this is one of the big differences you receive when using our site. Tripigy focuses on Free (Legal) Camping, Caravan Parks, National Parks and other locations where people can stay. Based on our research over many years, we believe that most travellers seek a mix of accommodation options that are sourced from all these types of locations. Even our own team visit all these types of locations on a regular basis.
